Our Story
After World War II, our founder and Navy Veteran, came home to his wife looking for work and an opportunity to grow his family. Tom Adams Sr. moved to Bucks County and started working for a ball bearing company. But as his family grew, he needed to make more money and started to go door-to-door selling storm windows. In spring of 1955, Tom Adams rented a barn and committed full time to sell storm windows and doors in the evening and installing what he sold in the day. That was the start of Tom Adams Storm Windows Company.
As the business grew and replacement windows started to become popular, so did the business. As the family grew to 4 children, all working in the business from warehouse to office, the business expanded to 4 locations. The name changed to Tom Adams Windows and Carpets and the products that we offered expanded to all types of flooring and selling builders and contractors. Mr. Adams has passed on, but the 2nd generation runs the business with the same mantra. “Quality Products, Quality Installation and Take Care of your Customers, for without them…there is no business.” This daily care of our customers and business has grown our wholesale business and our retail business.
The constant training and education of our sales and office staff and installers have made Tom Adams one of the largest award-winning family-owned home improvement businesses in the Tri-State Area. Our process is simple.
We ensure transparency throughout our entire engagement to provide the best possible outcome in our work.
No – All pricing is done by the salesperson. Still, we double and sometimes triple-check all sizes by sending out one of our professional, award-winning installers to re-measure all sizes of windows, doors, exterior capping, interior trim, and job site conditions to ensure a perfect fit the first time.
No – this is where technology takes over and we secure a satellite version of the exterior with all sizes provided for us to price out- Our project manager still goes out to confirm and check job site conditions.
NO – we sent out a professional measurement expert in flooring, who used lasers to measure and send to your salesperson a professional drawing of the room along with all seam placement to minimize seams and put them away from visual and traffic areas. We only ask to visit one of our showrooms to make a selection of products first.
No, we DO NOT charge a fee to use a credit card. We accept Visa, M/C and American Express only.
YES – All of Tom Adams products that we install have warranties on our installation from LIFETIME to 3 Years, it will vary on the product purchased. We will also give you this warranty in writing.
Yes – We have many installation teams from Tom Adams that are employees and some in which they only work for us exclusively. We train and warranty every installer on our jobs. Also, every installation team has Workmen’s Insurance against any injury on the job, to insure safety and no liability to our customers.
YES – we have 8-10 trucks for our service department to assist any homeowner who needs a service or has an issue. Our service department works for us and is also hired by many manufacturers to handle and fix their product issues. We represent almost all manufacturers in flooring, carpet, hardwood, windows, doors, roofing and siding.
Yes – we have a “No One Beats Our Price Warranty” – just submit a written quote from a reputable dealer with similar manufactured products to your salesperson in writing.
