Tom Adams Windows and Carpets created these installation guidelines for the home improvement projects we complete here. We understand that starting a home improvement project can be daunting. Your Tom Adams’ Sales Representative will break down every aspect of your project as easily as possible. We provide you a copy of the written contract so you understand what you’re paying for.

In our first meeting, let’s review your vision and budget of your project so we can help select, design, and make them come true.
If your products are windows, doors, or exteriors, our sales associate will measure and review products and give you the price. This price will be verified or changed based on our installer coming out to review the project. If flooring, our measurer will laser the room and take pictures of transitions so we have sizes needed for the computer to layout the room for the best installation.
As the contract is written for windows, doors, and exteriors, our Installers will go to your home to re-measure to the 1/16* of an inch, so your product is a perfect fit and look for any issues in your contract, based upon job conditions. All Flooring contracts will be reviewed and confirmed by our head of installation. Any issues will be brought your attention.
As we start to install your windows, doors, or flooring – please make sure all window treatment or furniture that would impede our installers is moved from the area. Our flooring installers will move large or bulky furniture, if that is written on the contract. Please allow our installers to get as close to the house as possible with their vehicles. The installation team will put down a tarp, and get right to the job at hand. We ask the homeowners to be home in case any unexpected job conditions that may stop the job show up. Any questions about your project, should be addressed to your sales associate. Please verify again that your contract matches the product being installed.
All your products will be ordered as per your contract. We will call to confirm when all windows and doors should arrive to schedule our needed installation date or dates, based on size of job. When your flooring arrives and is confirmed for correctness our scheduler will call to set up a date that works with your schedule. Please be home during installation should any questions arise.
Our Installation team arrives on time to start the project. The amount of time or days needed for completion has already been discussed and agreed with you. We will work until the project is completed. Please address Any questions to your sales associate or head of installation.
We always work for 100% happiness on each and every job. But, sometimes things happen. If for any reason, we have not met your needs or contract. Please call us. We will look into that issue immediately – Your Happiness is our GOAL.
The installation is completed. Our windows and flooring installers will clean up after themselves. The carpet installers will vacuum the carpet, while the doors and window frames will be wiped down. Tom Adams does not clean the glass or take off the stickers. That is the responsibility of the homeowner, and please keep your stickers in a folder in case you need them for future use. The door and window installers will review the operations of their respective products. The flooring installers will put all furniture back and review any questions you may have. If you are not 100% happy – call your Sales Associate to notify us, we want your project right the first time.
